What is Localized Cryotherapy?
Unleash Your Body’s Natural Healing Power with Extreme Cold.
Localized cryotherapy is used to target a precise area of the body and specific areas of your skin – making it significantly different from whole body cryotherapy.
Equally advantageous, the localized treatment utilizes a powerful yet small handheld device. It’s great for treating key problem areas and acute pain issues with quick results to reduce inflammation caused from chronic or acute injuries, autoimmune condition, and arthritis.
Each session lasts 10 mins and uses temperatures as low as -145C. Although local cryotherapy is valuable on its own, many of our Cryomend clients opt to combine localized experience with Whole Body Cryotherapy in our CryoChamber.
How Does it Work
Precise Targeting
Localized Cryotherapy focuses on specific problem areas – such as muscles, joints, ligaments, or tendons – which allows for a more personalized, targeted approach to healing.
Deep Cold
The intense cold produced by our handheld Cryo device penetrates deep into the body’s tissues, making sure you feel real and lasting effects.
Oxygenation
Cryotherapy promotes a rush of oxygenated and nutrient-rich blood to the targeted area after your treatment is over, which can help with tissue repair and healing.
Pain Reduction
Local Cryotherapy has been scientifically proven to alleviate swelling and pain for many people suffering from a range of acute and chronic conditions such as tendonitis, bursitis, rotator cuff, and more.
